Situated at the foot of snow-clad mountains, Espace 4 Saisons, which has a range of excellent facilities and nearby tourist attractions, is the ideal setting for a couples’ getaway. That’s why we’ve come up with some suggestions for a romantic getaway. No need to reveal that these suggestions came from us. We’ll let you take all the credit!
After you arrive at the hotel, put on some warm clothes and head for Mount Orford ski centre (a mere two-minute drive away), to view the setting sun. At this time of year, it starts its descent close to 4 p.m., giving way to darkness at around 5:15 p.m.
A truly romantic way to watch the sunset is to walk up the mountain! At 4 p.m, a number of trails are still open for alpine hiking and by donning a good pair of crampons and a headlight, you can watch the last rays of the sun as it sinks below the horizon. (You can also access the trails via Mount Giroux, directly across from the hotel.)
This little night walk is sure to have whetted your appetite, so when you get back to the hotel, you can order something from Bistro 4 Saisons to be delivered to your room. The Bistro offers a great selection of gourmet fare, but if you’re looking for food that is more basic (but just as tasty), check out the menu for the Burger Pub. You’ll find BBQ ribs, breaded cod burgers, poutine and other decadent delights!
Round off the day with a dip in our indoor/outdoor heated pool. Sip a glass of wine by the fireplace. Or stay cocooning in your room…
The following morning, tuck into breakfast in bed ― a rare luxury for most busy couples!
Later in the day, treat yourself to a pampering session at Dôme de Morphée, an esthetic spa located within the hotel. Book a massage, a body treatment, a facial or perhaps, a manicure/pedicure.
On the way home, be sure to drop by Chocolats Vanden Eynden in Magog. After all, chocolate is synonymous with romance!
