Four Scenic Bike Stops in the Eastern Townships

Since we’ll have to wait before going cycling in exotic countries, we present to you 4 exotic stops to make right here at home, on your bike, in the Eastern Townships. It just goes to show that you don’t have to go very far to feel elsewhere!

The ideal starting point for any cycling trip in the region is the Espace 4 Saisons hotel complex, which is certified “Bienvenue cyclistes”. We’ve thought of everything to make your bicycle trip a success: individual bike lockers, bike repair kits and tire pumps are always available at the front desk… So, drop off your luggage in the heart of Orford, hop on your bike and go on an adventure!

An air of the French Riviera in the fields of Bleu Lavande | Magog

10-minute bike ride from Espace 4 Saisons – 3.6 km

For a day of relaxation, pedal to Bleu Lavande’s new lavender farm in Magog to have a picnic surrounded by the fragrant purple flowers. Offer yourself a leg-foot massage (ideal for cyclists!) and even bring home a small lavender plant.

The Champagne experience at Le Cep d’Argent vineyard | Magog

50-minute bike ride from Espace 4 Saisons – 16 km

Rather in bike/aperitif mode? Taste sparkling wine at Le Cep d’Argent vineyard, the only Quebec vineyard to produce sparkling wine like in the Champagne region, France. It is even possible to saber your bottle right amongst the vines.

Discover the Benedictine way of life at the Abbey | Saint-Benoît-du-Lac

This is a breathtaking bike ride that will take you to the Saint-Benoît-du-Lac Abbey, a magnificent building in a calm and serene place. Stop, breathe, take your time. Take a guided tour to learn more about its monks and their Benedictine way of life… and of course, leave with artisanal products made on site like cheeses, ciders, compotes and spreads!!

The Coaticook Gorge suspended bridge | Coaticook

2 hours and 30 minutes bike ride from Espace 4 Saisons – 47 km
