Whether you’re on a bike, in a car, or on a motorcycle, we recommend taking the scenic route to fully enjoy everything the beautiful Eastern Townships<\/a> have to offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And since we know you won\u2019t have time to visit everything in just one day, we\u2019ll be waiting for you at the hotel for a good night’s sleep<\/a>, so you can be ready for the next day… and even the day after!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gourmet Bike Route<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If biking and good food are your two favourite activities, then hop on your bike and let us take you to discover the V\u00e9loroute Gourmande<\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route is divided into four sections: Montreal to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to Granby, Granby to Orford, and Orford to Sherbrooke. The last section of the route, easily accessible from the Espace 4 Saisons hotel, is considered intermediate level. This 60km route consists of both paved and unpaved paths. Along the way, you\u2019ll pass by gourmet attractions where you can stop, have a bite, and take your time: microbreweries, bakeries, caf\u00e9s, pastry shops, chocolatiers, cheese shops\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make it a day trip or plan to dedicate part of your vacation to it. There\u2019s so much to see and taste!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panoramic Sheds Route<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re a fan of beautiful viewpoints, we have the perfect route for you! Set off on the Circuit des sheds panoramiques<\/a><\/em> in Haut-Saint-Fran\u00e7ois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A shed is a small, minimalist wooden pavilion inspired by the rudimentary buildings that were once found in the area, designed to offer the perfect spot to take in the landscape in all its glory. There are currently nine sheds to visit along a route of approximately 150km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You could choose to visit them all in one day or pick one and explore its surroundings. Additionally, on the sheds’ website, you’ll find a wealth of suggestions for gourmet, cultural, or outdoor stops near each shed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chemin des Cantons<\/em> is sure to delight architecture and history enthusiasts. This 438km route (which you can take over several days or select individual spots you want to visit) allows you to discover houses, churches, covered bridges, barns, and other heritage buildings that beautifully showcase the influence of various cultural legacies on the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, in Waterloo<\/a>, you\u2019ll step back into the era of 19th-century British high society, where 42 buildings stand as a testament to this chapter of our history. The Maison Merry<\/a> in Magog offers an in-depth look at the region’s history, from the Abenakis to today, including the arrival of the Loyalists. Be sure not to miss visiting the Ulverton wool mill<\/a>: a true hidden gem of the region!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, a last route for food lovers: one that will take you to discover local cheesemakers in the region. The T\u00eates Fromag\u00e8res<\/em><\/a> route features 14 local dairies, where you are invited to stop and sample a variety of delicious products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, there are famous Eastern Townships cheesemakers such as Fromagerie des Cantons, Fromagerie Nouvelle-France<\/a>, Fromagerie La Station<\/a>\u2026 but also lesser-known gems, like Fromagerie des Broussailles, Fromagerie P\u2019tit Plaisir, and Fromagerie Missiska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounding these dairies, you’ll often find microbreweries where you can enjoy a cold beer, museums to visit, trails to explore, or even vineyards where you can taste some Quebec wine.
